I have been in love with my wife since I was 14. We started dating when I was 15 and been married over 20 years. As a love note to her I sign the art I make mikewindy. Always lowercase and my name and hers conjoined. I make art, music and songs. I write articles about art and love notes to my wife. I teach art, run community workshops and organize fundraisers. Often i will do all of those things inside of the same month, week or day and find it impossible sometimes to distinguish where art stops and fundraising begins or the difference between writing a song or challenging a student to reach beyond their idea of themselves to create something that will push them in new directions in their field. It's not because I can't distinguish between the act of teaching and the act of fundraising but rather I take all opportunities and tasks in a given day as opportunities to be creative and allow art to fill in the creases and cracks of the map of my life.
